Producing green energy infrastructure, such as wind turbines, requires significant amounts of many different critical minerals.

Minerals are fundamental in enabling and unlocking the green energy transition. Whether as PGMs (Platinum Group Metals) in solar panels, copper in energy grids, or the nickel in EV batteries, metals play a vital role in transitioning away from fossil fuels. 

We focus on investing in critical mineral projects to support this sustainable future. Our portfolio includes one of the largest copper district discoveries of the past decade, located in Latin America, and one of the largest globally undeveloped copper-nickel-PGM deposits, located in Europe.

Copper, with its uses in grid infrastructure, data centers, and green technology, is listed as a critical mineral by several of the world’s governments.

Energy-hungry data centers—the backbone of the AI digital revolution—rely heavily on critical minerals.

AI is driving a digital revolution—but it comes at a mineral cost. Data centers, the backbone of AI, rely on critical minerals: predominantly copper. 

Current estimates show demand for copper from data centers will grow sixfold by 20501. These centers are also energy-hungry, with AI requiring increasing amounts of power2. As AI adoption surges, so will its strain on resources. Securing the future supply of mineral chains will be more crucial than ever.

Large tech companies are looking into developing their own energy 

solutions to meet the challenge of powering data centers.

Addressing global food security through fertilizer projects

Our investments include potash. It is a fertilizer that is a great source of soluble potassium (one of the three primary macronutrients plants require), making it critical for plant growth.

With 1 in 11 facing hunger, food security is a global issue3. As the global population rises, and climate change and urbanization reshape the farming landscape, agriculture must produce more food using less land. 

Fertilizers play a vital role in boosting crop yields, making them essential for the future. We therefore invest in key fertilizer projects located in global agricultural hubs, such as Brazil. These aim to support sustainable food production by providing local farmers with nutrients at a fraction of current costs.
